Our sponsorship program starts at only $25 a month.   For this small amount, you can change a child's life and give them their future.

David  is 9 years old and lives with us in our Fang Shan home.   David's parents were killed in a traffic accident when he was 3  years old.   When his parents were killed, he was taken to live with his grandparents, but they were so poor that they couldn't care for David.   This family lived a very difficult life and struggled to survive.    

We learned of David's suffering and he came home to Living Hope in November of 2009. 

David is a sweet and loving little boy who loves to play soccer and wants to learn to play the piano.   He does very well in school and has been first in his math class.

Ashley    Chinese Name:  Tan Li Ping

  Ashley is 11 years old.   Her father died in a coalmine accident and her mother ran away abandoning her and her little brother, Thomas (below) 3 days after their father's death.     The children were taken to live with their aging grandparents, but they were very poor and could not work to earn money to care for their grandchildren.   This family struggled to survive rarely having enough food.

We learned of these precious children's suffering and brought both home to Living Hope in late 2009.   Now, they don't worry if their next meal will come.

Ashley dreams of becomming a doctor.

 

THOMAS    Chinese Name:  Tan Li Sheng

                                     ID#    FS022

  Thomas and his sister, Ashley are doing well now that they live with us at Living Hope.  When Thomas first came home, he was severely underweight and malnourished.    With 3 healthy meals a day, he quickly gained weight and is now a happy and healthy little boy. 

We take Thomas and Ashley to visit their grandparents during their school holidays. 

Thomas wants to grow up to become a scientist.

 

TIM     CHINESE NAME:  Shi Sheng Hai

                                    ID#  FS014

 Tim was orphaned when his father died in an accident and his mother abandoned him when he was 4 years old.     He was taken to live with his grandparents but they lived in severe poverty and they struggled to feed Tim and could not afford to send him to school.

Tim came home to Living Hope in 2009 and has flourished.   He is doing very well in school and always offers to help with chores around our home. 

Tim is a wonderful little boy with a fun personality and loves to play football with his older brothers.

He wants to be a professional football player.

 

  AARON   CHINESE NAME:  Wei Seng

                                            ID# BJ001

 Aaron was abandoned when he was a little over a year old.    He lived a very difficult life as he strugged for the next 10 years living with his grandparents who could not provide for him.    They struggled to earn money to send Aaron to school, which left very little for food. 

Aaron came home to Living Hope on February 2nd, 2006.   

Aaron likes martial arts and enjoys the classes in our home.   He is very excited that he will be coming to the US in January of 2011 for our Living Hope's Angels tour.   

Aaron is a wonderful young man with a very loving heart.

MAY    CHINESE NAME:   HUANG XIAO MEI

 May was abandoned as a baby and was taken care of by a woman who found her.   May had suffered abuse for many years in this home.   When she was 8 years old, she ran away and tried to survive on the streets.   She was found by the police and was taken to the Fuzhou government orphanage. 

We brought our May home to Living Hope on August 30, 2004.   She is a precious and beautiful girl with a loving heart.   Her difficult past has not robbed her of joy or her ability to love. 

   STEVEN   CHINESE NAME:  She Qiang

                             ID#FZ021

 Steven was found by the police wandering around a local train station on March 11, 2001.   He had been abandoned by his parents.   The police took him the the Fuzhou Municipal Children's Welfare Institute.

We brought our Steven home to Living Hope on February 4th, 2005. 

Steven was starved for love and attention when he first came home and his new big family embraced this beautiful child.  He loves to be hugged and show affection.

Steven is doing well and we are very proud of him.

ALEX    CHINESE NAME:  Zhang Lei

                            ID# BJ044

 Alex's father died in 2000 and his mother left and abandoned him the same year.   Alex's aunt took him in and tried to care for him, but she was so poor that she was not able to feed or care for him.  They struggled to survive.

Alex came home to Living Hope in February of 2006 and has been a fine example for all of the children in our home.  

He struggled with school when he first came home because his aunt could not afford to send him.    Alex worked very hard and his house parents and teachers tirelessly worked to help him.    We are very proud of our Alex -  he not only caught up, but continues to make good grades.

Alex loves computers and he hopes to have a future in this field.
